From the outset a Chef Startup evening is born of a mutual love for food, dining and creating unique memories through an exceptional experience.

We endeavour to keep ticket prices reasonably priced as to encourage our guests and diner community to follow our events and enjoy the opportunity to experience an assortment of food themes, chef’s and venues alike. Jason McNamara & The Post House

The Kind Kitchen was founded by vegan advocate and chef Jason McNamara. Jay travelled to Austin Texas in 2013 where he gained his skills in vegan culinary arts at The Natural Epicurean Academy of Culinary Arts under the tutelage of Chef Inge Bothma.

On the 1st of September 2018 the Kind Kitchen in Woodstock officially opened for business, offering brunch and select items for dinners Tuesday through to Saturday. As Cape Town’s hunger for good vegan food has grown so to has the popularity of The Kind Kitchen, which has been privileged enough to stand side by side with the ‘Hottest New Restaurants in Cape Town listed by Eat Out and The Inside Guide in 2019.

The Post House is owned and run by John and Janet Higginson who are passionate about the industry and providing up and coming chefs with the platform they need to pursue their culinary dreams.

The Post House is excited to offer chefs the opportunity to hold an intimate gathering in their elegantly refurbished hotel and restaurant. The Post House offers a private garden, pool area, unparalleled service and unique experiences. There is no better venue to showcase their flair for cooking, hospitality and service.
